Ethical Principles

Similarity rate check

Rumeli Journal of Education Studies applies internationally accepted principles regarding ethical situations, mistakes or abandonments. Preventing the publication of scientific studies submitted to the journal from being abandoned is among the critical responsibilities of the editorial board. Any examples of unethical behavior that can be observed in scientific studies are unacceptable. It has been declared by the authors that the content of the scientific research sent to the journal has been prepared using original sources. In this context, articles sent to the journal are accepted after being passed through a plagiarism program. The similarity rate of the article sent to the journal should not be more than 25%.

Precautions against ethical violations

Rumeli Journal of Education Studies  has adopted the basic principle of fulfilling its publishing responsibilities based on the "COPE Code of Conduct for Journal Editors". In line with this principle, the editorial board, referees and authors are obliged to comply with the procedures in the journal application and evaluation processes within the scope of ethics committees. Rumelia Journal of Educational Research declares that any unethical work involving ethical violations such as misusing the work of others or conflict of interest is unacceptable and all legal rights are reserved.

The similarity rate of candidate articles must be uploaded to the journal by the authors. In addition, the responsible author must declare that there is no plagiarism in the article by uploading the similarity ratio declaration file. Candidate articles are also examined by the journal secretariat for similarity with the plagiarism program. Articles exceeding the similarity rate determined by the journal are returned to the authors.

In case of any ethical complaint regarding published articles within 12 months, the editorial board reviews the article. Documents regarding the relevant complaint should be sent to the editorial board of the journal via e-mail.

The editorial board of Rumelia Journal of Educational Research has taken them one by one under the titles of referee and author responsibilities and scientific principles and stated them below under the title of publication ethics and abuse declaration in accordance with the "Code of Conduct for Journal Editors" (COPE Code of Conduct for Journal Editors).
